HAPPY NOVEMBER ALL YOU SAINTS
Our monthly Corporal Work of Mercy is
FEED THE HUNGRY
In this 90 second video from Dynamic Catholic, Mother Olga shares with us what it means to Feed the Hungry and how to do it with heart:
Our traditional Thanksgiving food/cereal collection for the Community Thanksgiving Baskets is taking a Covid twist this year just like everything else, but there are still ways to help feed the hungry this month:
November 7/8: CEREAL COLLECTION
(Like Mother Olga recommended, buy a box of your FAVORITE
cereal to share)
**Consider making a monetary donation to help provide the Community Thanksgiving Basket operation with a truck load of food for Thanksgiving dinners for those who need a little help this year. You can simply write a check to Blessed Sacrament and put "Thanksgiving Food Collection" in the memo line. We will make sure that all funds make it to the Emergency Food Pantry.
November isn't just the month when we celebrate Thanksgiving, it's also the month when we remember all the saints and souls in heaven, as well as those who are living saints in our daily lives. Take a moment to recall all of the holy role models in your life and give THANKS for them, maybe even light a candle or two for them, or send a note of thanks to those who are still with us.
We are all called to be holy. We are the saints of God!
I hope that you enjoy this song by Sara Groves encouraging us to be inspired by the various saints we have encountered in our lives.
