This picture was taken by Blessed Sacrament Community member, Angela Pasek, on one of her regular visits to the Midland Cemetery. While she is there she prays for people and often finds words of wisdom and Godly inspiration carved on the grave markers. Though she has walked there many times, this was the first time she had seen this particular headstone and it struck her that the inscription was a powerful reminder of how to view our own sorrows and blessings. She also found it curious that it had the name "Patrick" on it, and next week is St. Patrick's Day! With the weather getting nicer and the snow nearly melted, consider visiting one of our local cemeteries and:
1. Pray for some of the people buried there by name.
2. Take a small bag and clean up an untended gravesite or remove debris that has been left behind over winter. Maybe leave a flower or two.
And if visiting the cemetery makes you feel a little uneasy;
3. Pray for those with terminal illnesses and those who have died.
4. Send a card or note to someone who has lost a loved one in 2020/2021.
