Rocky Railway VBS was a huge success! We sang, danced, prayed, played, and learned all about how we can TRUST JESUS! Thanks to all who volunteered, participated, donated, and prayed to make this year's VBS great! We're compiling all of the pictures we took during the week, and we'll have a link to share soon. For now, look at all these happy faces singing and dancing together!
Father's Day
Sometimes, when people imagine God the Father, they imagine a stern, strict, jealous God. But Jesus didn't think of God that way. When he prayed, he called God the Father "Abba," which is Hebrew for "Dad." He prayed to God the Father just the way we would talk to our dads here on earth, with love and familiarity. You can do the same as Jesus when you pray! Try using the word "Dad" or "Abba" instead of "Father" when you pray to God.
Jesus had a dad on earth, too, who helped his mother Mary raise him. Do you know his name? Joseph! St. Joseph quietly listened to what God asked and lovingly cared for Mary and Jesus. Do you need to follow St. Joseph's example and quietly listen to what God is asking of you? I sure do! Is there someone in your life who needs some loving care? Ask St. Joseph to pray for you and help you to listen to God's message!
Mrs. Pajk shared this image of St. Joseph and the Holy Family in her Adult Flocknote today, and I love it so much that I'm sharing it with you! Don't you love how St. Joseph protects and cares for Mary and Jesus here?
Happy Father's Day weekend to all of the dads, grandpas, uncles, and father figures in your lives! I'm praying for all of you this Father's Day!
Peace,
Corinne
