Hello Faith Formation Families!
The 2020-2021 Faith Formation year is about to begin!
Coming up next weekend... our Blessed Sacrament Faith Formation Kickoff... The Acts of Mercy Blitz!
After Mass on Sunday, join Blessed Sacrament families of all ages as we spend the day covering our community with the love and mercy of Jesus! Your family's mission, if you choose to accept it, is to perform all 7 Corporal Works of Mercy in one day! It's crazy, I know, but just imagine all the lives our Blessed Sacrament families could bless in a single day! And watch out... your lives just might be blessed too!
Here's how it will work: In next week's Flocknote, you'll receive a checklist with ideas for ways to perform all 7 Corporal Works of Mercy. Choose one of each, or add your own ideas. Tune in to our Blessed Sacrament Facebook page for a Facebook Live start after Mass. Then, throughout the day, share your family's Acts of Mercy Blitz adventures with the rest of the Blessed Sacrament Facebook community in photos, videos, and comments.

Also next weekend, our first Faith Formation lesson of the year will be included in your weekly Flocknote!
Through the end of December, our Faith Formation lessons will be whole-family at-home lessons. Mother Teresa said, "If you want to bring happiness to the whole world, go home and love your family!" So in this socially distanced world, that's a great place to begin, isn't it?
Sometime this week, you'll receive a packet on your front porch containing all the materials you'll need to complete our September and October Faith Formation lessons. If you have middle school or high school students in your family, your packet will also contain some materials for them from our Youth Ministers. Some of the items you'll use right away with our first lesson; some of the other items you'll need to hold onto until our October lessons.
If you want to help the Faith Formation team next month with packet stuffing and/or delivery, we could definitely use the assistance! We're keeping social distance and wearing masks in our packet stuffing room. If you feel comfortable and have an hour or two or three to spare, let us know!
This Sunday is Catechetical Sunday, when we celebrate all who are serving as teachers of the faith and formally commission their role. Father will bless our catechists during Mass.
